Vikings as merchants

The Vikings brought home a large variety of goods.

They returned from raids with items obtained during the raids. At the Viking Moot, visitors have the opportunity to purchase anything from swords to shoes.

Craftsmen and merchants at the Viking Moot only sell commodities with links to the Viking Age, and many of them show off their production prowess at the market place.

Visitors may also test their own talents. If you fail as a blacksmith, you might succeed as an archer. An area specifically designed for children is found on the market place by the beach, where the youngest can try out the Viking life.

The great battle commence at 12 AM and 3 PM both on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, there is plenty of entertainment on the market place during the day – musical shows, storytelling and a lot of other exciting performances.
