Practical information

The Viking Moot is situated near forest and beach, thus, far from roads and other modern conveniences. Make sure you wear sensible shoes. You are able to get around with strollers and prams, but please be advised that the surroundings are hilly and the pathways are made of gravel.

Vehicles for disabled people have access to the grounds through the fire routes. Please, contact Viking Moot project manager, Sara Heil Jensen, phone: +45 2912 4582, to arrange for parking and access.

Food and beverages

You may bring a picnic basket, but if you don’t, you will not have to go hungry. There are several food stalls that serve dishes based on Viking recipes and basic ingredients. Try for instance spicy deserts or meats roasted on a spit.

The beverage stall serves beer, mead and non-alcoholic apple cider. We serve no soft drinks, French fries or lollypops – the stalls only carry a selection of items that would fit a true Viking!

Dogs are allowed at the Viking Moot, but must be kept on a leash at all times. If your dog relieves himself, you are required to pick up after him. Dogs must be on a leash in all public forest areas including Moesgaard Forest. However, there is an off-leash dog park near the Viking Moot.
