Popular Pompeii exhibition can be seen until September 13
Efforts to extend the museum's major international exhibition on Pompeii and Herculaneum have been successful. The special exhibition has been extended until 13 September, 2020.
The special exhibition, which opened at the beginning of November last year, was a major attraction before the closure of the museum due to coronavirus/ Covid19 and many people had been looking forward to seeing the exhibition. But not everyone achieved it before Denmark closed down. According to the original schedule, the special exhibition should have closed on May 10.
With the Corona/Covid19 crisis, both Moesgaard and the Italian museums had a problem because the exhibited items could not be returned to Italy as planned. Because of the crisis, the Italian museums have allowed an extended loan period on the items than what was previously agreed.
Moesgaard Museum has, thus, been given the opportunity to display the exhibition throughout the summer and until mid-September.
