What you need to know about lifts, dogs, bags and lots more

Accessibility

Lifts are present in all exhibition units. Measurements: 90 cm by 140/145 cm. Accessible toilets are found by the toilet sections. Wheelchairs are available to borrow – please ask at the Information Desk/Ticket Counter. People with a disability identification card may bring a companion or aide free of charge.

Prams

The museum is accessible for children in prams. However, for the best possible museum experience we recommend that prams are left in the downstairs cloakroom (at own risk) and strollers and slings are used instead. Strollers are available to borrow.

Parking and disabled parking

Parking at Moesgaard Museum is free and unrestricted. 420 parking spaces are available in front of the museum and at the old car park.  There are a limited number of parking spaces available for disabled visitors directly across from the museum’s entrance. The spaces are clearly marked. You must have a valid disability parking placard to park in the spaces.

Schools

If you wish to visit the museum with more than one school class (without a guided tour), we kindly ask that you notify us of your visit in advance.

Bags and coats

Bags and overcoats must be stowed in the museum's downstairs cloakroom during your visit. Here you find lockers. Lockers are free with a deposit of 10 DKK.

Food and drinks

The museum café is open during museum hours. The cafe serves delicious cold and hot dishes, salads, sandwiches etc. Here, you can also enjoy a good cup of coffee with a large selection of homemade cakes. Read more

Food allergies

For food allergies, you are very welcome to contact the café staff before ordering. It is possible to customize several of the dishes. Gluten- and lactose-free bread and cake are usually always available.

Bring your own food

Food that you bring with you may be enjoyed outdoors in the scenic surroundings and on the roof of the museum. During the summer, benches are set up north of the museum. Your own food can also be enjoyed in the museum's lunch room at on the basement floor near the entrance.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed inside the museum, but are welcome on the outside areas as long as they are kept on a leash. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome all over the museum.
